10.20am – 11.20am GMT, 25 March 2026 ‐ 1 hour

Room: Lowther - located on level 0

Workshop

This workshop will explore the complex challenges that the non-inclusive interpretation of biological sex as binary presents for learners, educators, policy and processes. We will explore the complex biological, social, cultural and data analytics context and provide the opportunity to explore these areas with participants. This overarching aim by the Warwick interdisciplinary expert group on sex and gender is ultimately to develop a suite of learning resources to help people gain knowledge of, and confidence to consider the impact caused by the oversimplification of complex of biological and social concepts (as in the case of the Supreme Court ruling). The workshop will be the opportunity for us running the workshop to identify areas of misconception, support and scope to explore the uptake of such a 'learning module' in other institutions and what this might look like.
