Workshop

This opening plenary explores how a growth mindset can serve as a powerful catalyst for personal development, leadership, and systemic change in STEM. Drawing on lived experience across academia, industry, and professional leadership, the session reframes growth as a deliberate practice shaped by learning, feedback, and resilience under pressure.
The plenary will invite participants to examine how mindsets are formed, informed by principles from psychology and neuroscience, and how growth-oriented thinking can unlock progression within complex and inequitable systems. The session is designed to set the tone for MLSFF by encouraging participants to approach the Forum, and their careers, with clarity, confidence, and a renewed sense of possibility.
