Clive Adjetey Sowah is a pharmaceutical scientist, chemical engineer and strategic leader dedicated to advancing equity and excellence across STEM. He currently serves as Head of the Race and Ethnicity Unit at the Royal Society of Chemistry, where he leads national initiatives designed to broaden participation and address systemic barriers within the chemical sciences.
Alongside his role at the RSC, Clive is Co Founder of Vanta STEM, a social impact platform focused on career development, growth mindset and leadership in STEM. Through masterclasses, digital resources and keynote speaking, he equips students and professionals with the tools to navigate complex systems with clarity and confidence.
With experience spanning research, industry and programme leadership, Clive brings a rare combination of technical expertise and strategic vision. His work centres on empowering the next generation of scientists to thrive, lead and create meaningful impact. A sought after speaker, he is passionate about reframing growth as a deliberate practice shaped by continuous learning, constructive feedback and resilience under pressure. Through his Growth Paradigm Shift framework, he challenges individuals and organisations to rethink how potential is developed, unlocked and sustained within complex and evolving STEM ecosystems.

Ali Saad is a Chartered Chemist and Chartered Scientist with over fifteen years of experience working across complex, high stakes technical environments. His career spans multiple sectors including marine, oil and gas, energy, speciality chemicals, polymers and aerospace. He currently works as a Consultant in the marine industry, where he leads forensic investigations into material failure and cargo contamination cases. His expertise lies in diagnosing root causes within intricate chemical systems, translating scientific evidence into clear, commercially meaningful conclusions. His work has taken him across the globe, from the Far East to the Americas, supporting legal teams, insurers and multinational organisations in resolving technically demanding disputes.
