Research Associate Opportunity at UC Irvine’s Griffin Lab
The Griffin Lab at the University of California, Irvine is seeking applications for a full-time Research Associate position within an interdisciplinary research environment focused on microbiota metabolism and host immunity.
This role offers hands-on laboratory experience across chemical biology, microbiology, and immunology. The successful candidate will conduct independent experiments and contribute to peer-reviewed publications while working in a collaborative research setting. Experimental approaches include microbial culture under anoxic conditions, metabolite profiling, protein expression and characterization, and genomic engineering.
The appointment is initially for one year and is renewable based on performance and funding availability. The position is particularly well suited for individuals preparing for PhD, MD, or related advanced degree programs who are seeking rigorous research training.
